HOLY MOLY WE'RE ANIMALS.: Lisbon, j’taime.

We’re staying on the top floor of a 1950’s apartment block that the host, Eduarda lives in. She has recently bought the apartment we are staying in and renovating, and wants to move her family of husband and three children to this floor – I think the final plan is to rent her current apartment out, as there is more space up here and the view is better and she has an idea of converting the attic space that only her apartment can reach.

The host is gracious, helpful and pleased to have us both around helping her with the renovation of her new house, plus now the addition of two Americans who joined us yesterday (17^th April) should make the work even easier.

For the first week we were here we spent most of our time painting and decorating a bedroom from scratch. Ceilings are annoying, and hurt your neck. Anyway, room was finished, and now we are sleeping in it and the American couple who aren’t an actual couple are in our old room. They are both from Seatle, and both sound really American. Josh and Carolyne are travelling across the EU counties to reach Italy where they hope to pick up some Au Pair work – fingers crossed for the both I guess, working with children on that level could be annoying so I don’t think I would jump at a chance to do it.

We spend our nights at this quaint coffee bar down the road from us, just 30ft from a church, kicking back with a café con leite, obrigardo then coming back to sit on the balcony and enjoy the warm pre summer evenings.

I’ve started running. I’m gonna lose so much weight I’ll look like a white Bruce Lee.
